While I am not an expert I have credits as part of my Theology Degree concerning Christian Art and Architecture.The composition of the piece relates to mother and daughter.Anne's left hand touches her daughter's hair and with her right hand provides a protective pose.The gentle right hand is open as a blessing and could be seen as open to reflect that her daughter garland with flowers is learning from a book.The symbolism is wonderful.The child witnessed as a mother the execution of her son.The cross with its vulgarity was witnessed by Mary and perhaps Saint Anne.Happily "the women" were the first to be aware that Jesus had belittled death.Every now and then an item causes one to reflect.Catholics enjoy art such as this.The average Catholic never read a book in 1500 years.The piece says a lot if you have any aesthetic sensibility.The child sculpted, Mary, later witnessed her son nailed to a cross.A beautiful rendition of Mary and her mother.Wonderful rendition, Catholics don't worship statues.We do enjoy their sanctity as a way of being with God, without words.Great product.1500 years of Catholicism survived without literacy.A fine piece of art.Worth spending time with.Clarification:The piece may not be large.

I like the figurine, it's pretty but very small. Not worth the money for such a small figure.

Honestly it fits in my palm but it’s perfect for us. I’m using it for my daughters room, it fits nice on her small shelf. I love it

The product was okay.

The heading for this did say 2.75" tall, but in the description it reads "Item Dimensions 4.5 x 2.3 x 6.3 inches, LxWxH" so I thought that a mistake was made in the heading. It is very pretty, but I was so disappointed in the size. It is meant for a gift for an important occasion, and we will feel silly giving this miniature statue. Definitely overpriced for the size. (By the way, there is no dimension that is 6.3" except the box filled with styrofoam.) Why oh why did I not read all the reviews before I bought it!

It's so very tiny. I expected it to be larger.
