It was getting hard for him to get up and down with his arthritis. He loves this and uses it all the time, sometimes just sleeping on it. Super easy to assemble as all you do is pop out the sides, put the bottom insert in and put the lid on. The top is soft and comfortable and the fabric seems durable. This is no way strong enough to hold a person, probably not even a child. Because it's lightweight and I have hardwood floors it does move easily, so I put some Gorilla stick on non-slip furniture feet on the bottom and those work perfect.
