SalewaMs Rapace Gore-tex mens Trekking & hiking boots

Salewa rapace has to be the best boot I have ever used. I have been hiking since I was in my mid teens and climbed mount Olympus twice. Plus I was in the Marines. I have never used boots that are so comfortable and required absolutely no break in time like these rapace boots. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis for a long time and I have narrow feet with high arches and finding boots that fit well can be a struggle. I took the advice of folks that recommend getting haft a size larger than normal. Put on some wool socks and went for a 4 mile hike at Tenaja falls CA with a 30 lbs pack. This boots are a light weight mountaineering boot. It’s stiffer than most but still has a bit flex so it’s not uncomfortable. The heel and tread design ensure good grip even in steep and loose ground. The lace system ensures that the boot conforms to the foot ensuring no hot spots or blisters. I’m glad I got them half a size larger. This gives me a bit of room so when I’m going down hill under heavy load my toes don’t hurt. I also like the included extra insoles. The fit with my sock combo to make a perfect fit. I know that each person’s feet are different but these are great for me.

Had numerous boots by this company as I love the fit and comfort - remember, half size bigger works best for most people. Waterproofing prone to failing and not the most robust boot but they are so comfortable and you never get a blister. I have different summer and winter boots along with this as a mid-season boot from Salewa and they are all great. I hike a lot so need to buy a new pair every year.

Usually ware 11 shoes 11.5 fit best.These are very nice and durable. Stiff sole for mountain rocky terrain. Using as a hunting boot. Comes with wide and narrow insoles that can be switched out easily.

Belle comode e di ottima fattura,anche se portate per lunghe escursioni restano molto comode da indossare.

Just received my new boots feeling like a kid in,a sweet shop .Not been out with them yet tried them on and already happy as they fit really well iv gone half a size up as my last pair got a little tighter later in the walk but well aware this happens loosen the laces eh .Been with salewa for 10 years plus or so very happy with the brand regarding 3 season boots but equally happy with my meindl boots for winter.Will hopefully add more once my new salewa have been put into action
