I have other TB cables which are TB3 and have had issues. I’m not saying that just because this is TB4 it makes it better than TB3 cables for TB3 devices but it is definitely the most reliable cable I have. I use this on a MacBook Pro M1 Max, which has TB4 ports. Maybe it’s the combination of the Mac’s ports with this cable that make it so reliable? I don’t know. However, the combination is perfect. I also use it with a couple of USB C SSDs and it’s flawless.
