I’m learning Spanish at the moment so it’s a great learning aid

Students thoroughly enjoyed this book. We had meaningful classroom discussions about characterization, predictions, and Spanish history--in Spanish and students were able to cite text examples from the novel. We created a Picasso mural in the hallway. While the author takes significant creative license--she does so to incorporate Spanish cultural elements. 1)Picasso 2)Spanish Civil War 3)The Running of the Bulls 4)Corrida de Toros.The book is short and easy to digest. There are footnotes and a glossary. The vocabulary is very controlled-travel, familiar situations, clothing, body parts, prepositions. The book is written in simple present (I don't recall any gerunds)-it would be suited for end of Spanish 1 (with significant teacher-support), Spanish 2 (to review present tense), I'm used in as the introductory independent 2 week novel in Spanish 3 (after a summer without Spanish) to teach independent reading procedures.

Read this book for my spanish class, it was alright.

I am a college student and had to get this book for a Spanish class, but I'm really glad I did. It shipped very quickly and was at a really good price compared to the book store at my university. The book itself is in very simple Spanish but it's been really helpful with Spanish comprehension and my reading speed. Definitely recommend.
