Need to work quickly and decisively to avoid slight brush strokes visible but be weary it can drip so suggest you check this as you work. Dries very quickly. As for durability, I can’t comment yet. Would definitely recommend and buy again as it can be used on all manner of surfaces. No wastage. No smell. Water based so easy to clean brushes. I've used it on the walls in my powder room, which has blue grasscloth. **Q: can this product be used over chalk paint antique wax or finishing wax?** A: I don’t think it can be used over wax. Just the chalk paint. I always start off with sateen. Then I add aging powder to dead flat and wipe on areas I want to age. Then I add another coat. I will never go back to waxes! **Q: Can this be used to remove or dull the sheen on a semi-gloss wallpaper?** A: Yes, you can apply a final coat of dead flat to kill the sheen. Please test the dead flat finish on all wallpapers to ensure compatibility. Apply the dead flat finish sparingly and brush out well. Over-application could result in misting.
