Bare tools are cordless tools that come without a battery. Part of Makita's 18v LXT cordless range, the DUB185 is a compact and lightweight blower which can also be used as a vacuum cleaner if a suitable dust bag is attached (not included). Designed to offer increased air volume compared to previous models, the DUB185 has three air volume settings and a variable speed trigger for maximum control. Review: One of my favorite Makita Tools - Not the strongest blower around but very good enough to get the job done. It small size and light weight make it easy to maneuver around to blow leaves, dust, yard waste. Not too loud. No more extension cord to drag a corded blower. The Power setting level in both side of the handle to accommodate left or right hand use with the thumb. Level Power 1 and 2 great for controlled blowing leaves. Level 3 full blast. You can take out the nozzle and put it on the air inlet to suck up air. Great for deflating blow-up beds very FAST. 3 Amp Makita battery last a long time. 1 Con for me. The Air inlet suck up big plant leave while dusting of the overhead patio or it suck up my shirt when maneuvering the blower close to my body.

**Q: What's the difference between this and xbu05z?**
A: I believe I have one each. I bought one for work and liked enough to buy another one for home. Honestly I can't tell you what the difference is. I have'nt had them side by side. I put a 6 amp hour battery on them (generic) and lasts longer than I inticipated.

**Q: Battery not fitting i have makita 18v bl1815**
A: Bl1815 only works with certain smaller tools, like impact drills. I believe the bl1820 is the smallest size that will work on the larger tools

**Q: Can you suck up water?**
A: Absolutely not !!  Doesn’t even suck DUST. THERE IS NO MOTOR FILTER so don’t do it.

**Q: How does this product do blowing snow off of a Jeep? Looking to be able to keep it in my Jeep to blow it off before going to work.**
A: Probable not . I bought it to blow water off my auto after a washing it had a hard time doing that.

Not the strongest blower around but very good enough to get the job done. It small size and light weight make it easy to maneuver around to blow leaves, dust, yard waste. Not too loud. Bought it for my wife and she loves it. Smaller than expected but put out plenty of blowing power. I bought it because my power tools are 18v Makita. Doesn't come with a battery so I bought a 5.0 hr battery which I can use with my tools.
