Review: Efficient and reliable pump - I have a 2000 gallon pond. My old Laguna 4280 lasted 6 years plus. It finally died. Bought the the exact same model to avoid changing any plumbing and wiring. Working perfect for 10 days so far. Expext it to last 5+ years. The pump did get damaged during shipping but the pump still worked fine. The pump had a dent on the edge and the front cage got damaged with two of the latching screws being broken. I just used my old existing cage and that worked just fine. Because everything just snaps together, replacement is easy. I have two pump filter systems, the traditional skimmer and waterfall system and the pressure pond filtration system. I keep an extra pump for the traditional system so when the pressure system is down, no big deal, the Koi are still being taken care of.
