The wheels install easy and I used the screws that came with the stand since the screws supplied were longer then the bottom piece they were being attached to. The brakes work and the wheels run smoothly on hardwood floors. I haven't tried it on carpet. The stand is over 50lbs empty and I imagine once it's fully loaded it will be at least 100lbs. I don't plan to roll it a lot but just a few days in I'm really impressed.
