You had me at store bought broth!
I've loved Scott Conants other books but was a little apprehensive about a "simple" cookbook. So often they're supposed to be simple recipes for your family but require 3 days to make or 400 ingredients. With 2 kids, I don't have time for that.I was so pleasantly surprised when under other pantry items - store bought stock. Now that's a regular home kitchen item.Yes, there are some recipes that run to the exotic - we don't regularly have lobster or octopus but several chicken cutlet recipes to shake up weeknight dinners and others make it worth the shelf space.Bonus points because my youngest is willing to try it if he says his youngest likes it!

One of the best cookbooks I have read in many years. Wow!
I love to cook and have a number of cookbooks. I find that you like several recipes but the rest go unmade. This cookbook lives up to the great reviews it's been given. I have already given it to several as a gift. Congratulations Scott and thank you.

Where can I find?
Cookbook recipes sound delicious, but some of the ingredients will have to be searched on the internet. Never, ever heard their name before, yet alone looked for them in the store or internet. Many of the recipes appear to be intricate. I am not a new cook. In fact my hobby is cooking and I have over 1200 cookbooks. Sixty five of which are Italian. But at my age, I wouldn’t even attempt to make the more intricate recipes. Don’t have the time or patience. Guess I’ll use this as a Christmas gift.
