Instructions: How To Quickly Clean Tool If Pressure Reading Doesn't Hold on Dial 1. Remove top section of brass stem Dust from tire valve stem may enter the gauge with normal use. This can cause the reading to not hold on the dial. This is common in analog gauges, and if this happens, you can easily fix the problem by following these steps. First, unthread the top section of the brass stem. 2. Remove internal seal parts Carefully remove the internal seal components Insert plug Black disc Clear disc Spring 3. Clean dust and debris Gently clean internal components, and blow inside of the stem to clear dust and debris. Rotate and press the bleeder valve a few times to dislodge any trapped debris. 4. Reassemble Reinsert components in this order Clear Disc Black Disc Plug Insert Lastly, thread the top of the brass stem back onto the base. Review: Professional gauge. - Professional feel, look and performance compared to cheaper tire guages of lesser quality. The valve stem chuck is deeper which makes it easier to firmly attach to tire valve stem. ( see photo). Gauge is black with white numbers - good contrast - and large enough to read easily. The dial remains at the reading until you press the release button. I give it my recommendation. Review: Old school tire guage - We'll see how long it lasts for gone use.
