Gro-sure 6 Month Slow Release Plant Food, 2 kg & Water Saving/Retention Gel, 250 g

It is too soon to determine how effective this product is as a slow release plant fertiliser. However, I heeded the warning of many other reviewers and took the parcel straight to the garden to open and had a plastic bag ready. It was lucky I did as the lid had come off and the granules were all over the packing box. A straightforward job to tip them back into the container, then put container in plastic bag for storage. The manufacturers need to find a way to secure the lid differently for transportation. Credit to the delivery driver who had spotted something wrong because the package was rattling and asked me if I wanted to accept or decline the parcel.

The product arrived in an Amazon cardboard box and it was immediately apparent that the lid had come off as the pellets were swishing around and coming out through the cracks in the box. I managed to pour most of them bag into the container but it's clear the lid is not very robust and does not fit tight enough to secure the pellets in transit. This is obviously a manufacturer's problem as the lid should be taped down or there should be an inner seal in case the lid comes off. The only blessing was I noticed the problem before taking the box in the house so cleaning up wasn't a problem.

Have used these for quite a few years now. They do away with having to add liquid fertiliser to watering can and , if there is plenty of rain, you do not need to waste water by needing to fertilise. They work really well for my tomatoes, cucumbers, fruit trees, strawberries, roses and anything else I want to grow. Would highly recommend. Only need to use every 6 months (or every year if for annuals).

Purchased to use on flower beds over the summer to not have to worry about watering in feed periodically. Advertised that feed will last 6 months which is idealA generous helping has only been down a few days so cannot comment on performance however I've learnt the blue granules are quick release and provide an instant nutrient boost and the brown granules provide a longer delivery of food as they take longer to dissolve.Size of pack I think is excellent value for moneyRead many have had issues with packing turning up broken. Mine arrived intact and sensibly packaged so I'm either lucky or they have listened to feedback?? Happy with purchase though and would recommend.Hope this Helps.

Like many others the box split during shipping but luckily only a handful of pellets came out in the box that was easy enough to put back in. I'm not deducting a star as the shipping doesn't reflect the product itself however the plastic could maybe be a bit stronger or a better securing lid.So far i've seen a drastic improvement in my shrubs - I originally bought this to use on my Hydrangea that had purple tipped leaves due to an inefficiency in the soil, this corrected that and now has all but disappeared after a couple of weeks.I've also used this on my Rhododendrons that have seen a MASSIVE amount of growth, the rain has likely helped however but they have really took off.Overall i'd give this 5*, included scoop is handy for measurements and distributing the pellets.

I have always been a fan of Westland products and this one didn't disappoint! I mixed a small amount into the soil of my pots and planted them up in the Spring. It is now mid August and they have been an absolute sight. Everyone has commented on them. It has been so much easier than mixing solutions into the watering can every time I watered. I would definitely recommend this product. The bonus is that, because you only use a little, I have enough left over for other winter flowering pots, and even plants in the garden. Can't beat it.

No pun intended but it leaves much to be desired on the packaging front. Pack was open and spilled all over the floor when opened. Hard to clear up too! Also, if you happen to spread this on top of a plant, it may disintegrate. Make sure you don’t put it on top of leaves, just mix into the soil.
