Fits the water fountain and does a great job keeping the water clean. Small dog and cat both drink from this fountain (because they’re friends and sharing is caring). I change the filter about once a month, usually on the same day as the litter on the self cleaning litter box. The bits in the top of the fountain- the surface that gets licked- tends to have some hairs by this four or five week mark, but I don’t ever have slime or mold inside of the fountain where the water is stored and pumped from. I do use water that’s been filtered from the fridge… not because I’m extra fancy, just because it’s already ready already to be quickly poured into the critters fountain. These just work great for keeping the water fresh and the critters hydrated! I forgot to order refill filters and noticed a marked reduction in the amount of water the pets drank in the few days that the fountain was out of commission. Excellent buy.

I love that the filters are individually wrapped!!I've seen other reviews to where people have commented remarks about the use of plastic to wrap each on individually...However for me as a cat mom, that gives me the security of knowing that every little black filter I use to replace in my cats water fountain is more sanitary than it would have been had it been kept in a box crammed with others of which dust and other unwanted anything could possibly get onto the filters.For the quantity, the quality and price, I'm definitely sticking to these because I am so very satisfied with knowing each filter is kept from any and all outside contaminates.So yes... this is now my go to for these little black filters, and I highly recommend them!!

Does the job even though doesn't quite fit.

When this first showed up, I didn't like it. The dogs and I stared at it and went "What the Heck?" I didn't like the flower spout, nor the tulips spout... finally took them both off and just let it gush up into the top tray. That made all the difference to me and my dogs... not that I'm drinking from it.. but it just looks like it works better. My two little dogs are drinking a lot of water now... and my larger one is sneaking drinks from it too now. It goes about 2-3 days with all of them drinking. I just pour more water into the tray to keep it filled up, wash it about every five or six days and I'm good to go. I really like this fountain better than others. It's just the right size and it's super easy to pick up and wash. The top just lifts off, the parts are easy to clean... the others have been from downright torture to wash, to just a mess. This one is simple and easy to clean. You have complete access and you don't need to buy cleaning brushes as there are no nooks and crannies. Simple operation. The red warning light, however, is a bust on this one. I let it go bone dry and the red light never came on. I still like it... and, in fact, I've put it on my Christmas list for some doggie owners among my family and friends.
