They are very bright! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there were a lot of strings of hot glue hanging off of them and some of the plastic molding wasn't removed. Bought them as a photography prop for photo shoots and liked they had their own power source. However, after hanging them up and having them on for a few hours, the battery compartment became extremely hot to the touch and the batteries literally melted in the plastic housing. Due to this, I have not used them since as I feel they are a fire hazard. I plan to buy more for the bedroom and bath.
