Sometimes the indentations aren't enough to keep the device from falling over but that's only when you have it on an uneven surface like your lap. When its placed on a desk or other surface it does a great job of staying in place, the slots are positioned well I find and I've never had a problem with it. The slot for the pen is very handy because it keeps it inside the case securely and ensures it doesn't fall out. I recently dropped a heavy penknife on the case and although there is a small dent in the case it did a great job of protecting the tablet. The inside holder for S-pen is good storing the pen when travelling. I found it was often getting knocked off the back of the tablet before when putting it in a bag.It is a little heavy at 212g, nearly the same as the tablet itself. Also the grooves that prop it up for viewing could have been made a little deeper or with a more pronounced edge to make it a little firmer when pressing the screen.
