The stand wobbles a bit, but it is sturdy enough to stand and hold large toilet paper rolls. It is metal and not soft at all. (?)

This is pretty and doesn't fall over. I use Members Mark big rolls and this holds three. I love the brown brass accents, wish they had wastebasket with same color brass but could not find. Good value. Like it.
