Ich war auf der Suche nach eine Küchenwaage mit hoher Last und OHNE automatische Abschaltung.Leider hat sie doch eine automatische Abschaltung, wobei eine schlaue: ohne Last geht sie nach 1 min aus, mit Last und eingestelltem tara erst nach 3 min.Die 3 min sind vollkommen ausreichend im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Waagen, dass man brauchbar das tara einsetzen kann.Pro's:- Gut abwischbar- richtige Knöpfe- hohe Last- beleuchtete ZiffernKontra's:- leicht verzögerte Anschaltzeit (vielleicht 3-5 sekunden) nicht schlimm, aber doch merklich.- Keine Aufhängung

I bought these scales for 2 reasons .It measures ML and it has a battery warning .Now, I compared it to my existing scales and they both read the same.I replaced my current scales because it does not have a battery warning and what happens is this, it still measures when it's running out of power but it is highly inaccurate. I wrecked a few recipes before the penny dropped.Now as for the liquid measurement with their "technology" I doubt it.Both scales measured the same for water and milk and were the same as the gram setting that is one ml equals one gram., no magic here, but it did make me think, what if I was measuring honey or a heavy liquid? It would not really know what lquid I was measuring regardless so, it's going to convert 100 ML of honey to grams which is not equal to the 100ml because honey is heavier than water or milk .In this case ,I guess you have to measure this as grams and not ml .Further, after having these scales for a while now and having some real messed up results I can say these are highly inaccurate .Some terrible outcomes and measuring these against a known weight has shown me that two results are never the same. .check the photos showing grams versus ml.

I am very happy with this. I usually prefer mechanical scales but need something space-saving. My old mechanical scales were small and falling apart and a pain to store in a cupboard. This is nice and slim - a bit smaller than I though, but that's good! It's perfectly big enough. I tested it with my old mechanical scales and they weighed the same, for the same items - so it seems accurate. I got this item after much thinking and reading. It seems not all digital scales are the same - even if they look the same. My choice was limited as I needed something I could see read easily without wearing two pairs of glasses or having to switch a light on. This is perfect for that - the numbers show up clearly and are easy to read. It is simple to use and I hope it lasts a long time! If it becomes faulty within the next 14 years and 11 months though, hopefully Salter will replace it!One thing I was aware of is - if you like to see both grammes and ounces at the same time (as you can on a mechanical scale) then this is a different way of working. You can choose grammes or ounces but you can't see them side by side. I don't think it's an issue - but it was something I was aware of. I have some recipes with a mixture of both ounces and grammes. But with this scale it would be quick enough to switch the mode from one to the other. I am looking forward to weighing our hamster on them! He is an old hamster now and needs his weight keeping an eye on when supplementing his food. These will be easier - with a suitable shaped bowl, zeroed.
