These really work great. Something I found is that since the leg-bands don't quite fit snugly around my daughter's legs, you have to make sure the cloth diaper is all the way inside the plastic so it won't leak out when wet. I have washed them in the washer and by hand in the sink and they seem to be fine. It was a good purchase to make and we're happy with the quality.

Do not buy these. I repeat, do NOT buy these. They may have been what our mothers used but that's not enough of a reason to buy them. They do not fit at the leg. They leak horrendously. They are not well made. They are cheap and fall apart. They do not last and they never did last (even my mom told me this). And it's easy enough to find more modern diaper covers which are a vast improvement. Modern covers give you adjustable snaps so that they work for different sizes, are made of waterproof fabrics in cute colors and prints, and will NOT fall apart but will last from child to child. Did not work as I expected

I've been using it over my 3 month old's disposable diapers to go swimming. It doesn't keep the water out, because duh, it's not airtight. I haven't tried using it with his cloth diapers, but it seems that it would do a good job at preventing leaks. I shall update when I do.
