Using a 12 VDC source and a 2.7K resistor that gave about 3.7 mA through the LED. My guess is that the max mA is about 20 mA. I wouldn't run more than 15 mA through the LED and 10 mA is plenty. We made tissue paper flowers which were then lit from the inside with these lights. The only negative is that the leads are a little too short for my purposes, so we had to change the final product slightly.
