Thermos 24-Ounce ROHO Hydration Bottle, Brilliant

This is my second ROHO aluminum bottle. Some of the patterns are a little questionable, but I love the design of these things. They are the perfect bottle to take to the gym. The top unscrews so it is easy to fill,the flip top spout is wide enough that I can chug water without stopping when I am on the treadmill or elliptical. Plus the metal bottle keeps the water cold. I can even fill the bottle and pop in the freezer for a few minutes to cool the water. The metal gets cold and the water cools off much quicker than if the bottle was plastic or glass.

I use Contigos all the time, and am used to drinking from those. This bottle has a lid, the top of which pops up on a hinge when you press a button. Easy to open, but does not pop open on its own - so that's a plus. However, it is configured in such a way that you sort of have to drink out of it on the diagonal...not exactly 180 degrees directly across from the hinge as you would expect.Still, once you get used to that (not a really big thing), it's all good.Be aware that this is NOT an insulated bottle, and it IS metal. If you put hot coffee in it, it's going to be hot to the touch. Cold water (or whatever) is fine - but it doesn't stay cold like it would in an insulated bottle. I use it for short trips (I ALWAYS have water with me), and for transporting a 2nd bottle of home-filtered water to work, where I keep it in the fridge. Then when my insulated water bottle is empty, I just refill with the contents of this bottle.It's lightweight, but sturdy. (I've dropped it twice - no problems.) I put it through the dishwasher ... lid on top rack, bottle on the bottom. Easy to clean by hand, too. (WAY easier than my Contigos!)Good purchase - I'm getting a lot of use out of it. Looks cool, too. Kind of retro, Jimi Hendrix-like in the black one I got.

I like the look of these bottles (I have bought several in different patterns) but they are hard to drink from, my kids and I frequently spill them. We have lost the little silicone pieces that keeps them from leaking, just by opening them! Mine flung off while I was hiking, never to be seen again. I wouldn't have a big problem if I could get a replacement part at a decent price but I can't seem to find one anywhere. So now I have a bottle that leaks like crazy. Also, the little "rubber band" that flips the lid open broke on one of our bottles within the first month of having it. I almost want to take away another star for the lack of replacement parts.

Worst lid ever. Maybe if you were an alien from outer space your lips could somehow work their way around the interfering clasp part that was obviously not meant for a human to use. I like how the lid closes, which is the same as how the older models used to work. If the designers would have kept the "spout" idea, then this bottle would be perfection. Love the nifty 70's design on the bottle itself, but because I have to drink from the thing sideways and it SITLL spills all over me, looks alone just won't cut it.

This is one of the best water bottles that I've used. The wide opening helps when using thick protein shakes. It can also be used when drinking juice with Chia seeds. The cap is easy to clean and can be operated with one hand. Love the integrated ring on the cap for securing it to a back pack. The bottle is built with excellent materials, I've dropped a full bottle on concrete and it only suffered a minor scuff and was barely dented. Very pleased with this product.

I received this bottle quickly. It's a nice color at an okay price. The flip-top is pretty amazing though. It seals shut tightly, and the loop on the lid makes it easy to just carry around the house which is where I drink most of my water. The only awkward thing is the shape of the drinking opening under the pop-top. It would have been nice to have the opening a little closer to the rim. It just makes it a little bit harder to drink the fluid inside the bottle. This is not a problem, just slightly annoying. Other than that, love the bottle.

This is the second time I have purchased this model. I did so because my first purchase is so perfect for me. I love that the top remains on the bottle with a flip up top and does not require a straw. Cleans easily, keeps beverages cold.
