I learned about this product while watching YouTube video of a great way to cover under eye dark circles. I bought this product and was pleasantly surprised to find it’s a little “tacky” so any concealer I use sticks & stays right where I put it. I use it on any area of my face that needs some help using a concealer.

I have used this brand for years but used to use the mattifying primer which I can’t find anymore. So I got this one instead and it unexpectedly actually cleared up some grittiness on my cheeks/jaw. It goes on thick but dries to be very light and feels like you’re wearing nothing under your makeup. Love it.

I love this primer. ,However, the amount you get for the price is not enough for me to purchase again.

I have been looking for a proper mattifying primer for MONTHS. I’ve tried high end ones thinking they must work for me since they have decent reviews... but no. I’m always left disappointed.I came across this and decided to try again to find something that works.. and lo and behold, my new favorite go-to primer! My face gets so oily very quickly. It’s so oily, I’m surprised America hasn’t tried to invade my forehead yet. I am constantly dabbing my face with toilet paper when I’m at work trying to blot out some of the oil spills.This WORKS. Just dab a tiny bit wherever you need it and rub in gently (a little goes a long way) Wait until it dries COMPLETELY before you apply any makeup (for me usually 3-5 minutes). And voila! You will be shine free almost the whole day (I won’t say ALL day bc there’s usually traces of shine after 8 hours of working in a hospital)Invest in this. I promise you won’t regret it! :)

I find this primer to be good but I’m not sure it helps with acne like it says it does. I’ve been using it for years but have never noticed a difference

I use and love other Cover FX products (setting spray and setting powder, and a powder foundation). This primer was recommended as good for "mature skin." After multiple attempts to use this primer under different foundations, though -- it's not good for mature skin. At all. Tried it under a light foundation -- the foundation wouldn't apply, wouldn't stay in place. Tried it under a more substantial foundation -- same thing. Tried it under a powder-to-cream foundation -- the foundation clumped up all over my face. Had to clean my face and start over. I use these foundations all the time with other primers (LaBase and Smashbox, e.g.) and have uniformly good results. So my conclusion: The problem is this primer.

I always use this primer for special events, and my makeup looks flawless! It’s seriously the best long wearing primer I’ve ever tried and I never hear anyone give it the hype it deserves… I always keep a backup because I refuse to be without it! Just pat it on and let it sit for 5 minutes or so before applying your foundation. Once it’s tacky, apply your foundation and set with powder… add setting spray and you’re good to go for hours and hours!

Difficult to know if it is actually effective as a blue light shield; however if anything it is a glorified moisturizer. I did notice my skin is softer. I also feel like it doesn't spread very well, so you kinda need a lot of product each time, meaning you will need to repurchase often. As for the scent, it doesn't really have one.
