Review: Say goodbye to boring, plain, white rice - Let me keep it short and to the point. This rice is wonderful and I highly recommend it. I use an automatic rice cooker so there is no work or guessing involved. Put in 3 cups of rice, add water to the line, and 45 minutes later it is done perfectly. I think what I like best about this rice is the texture. It has a lot of "crunch" left in it after cooking. The Soft Wheat & Rye Berries add to that crunchy texture as does the wild rice. And this rice has a lot more flavor than plain, white rice. We also know that this whole grain product is much more healthy for you than the plain white variety. I have occasionally found this rice in some of the stores where I shop but far too often I search for it in vain. Thankfully, I can count on desertcart to have this in stock!!! I also like the Rice Select Royal Blend with Brown & Red Rice with Pearled Barley & Rye Berries. I alternate between these two varieties to keep things interesting. Review: Never thought I'd be buying groceries from desertcart.com - My store stopped stocking this rice for some reason. It is a far superior blend than anything else I've tried and so I Googled it and was surprised to find it here. Great texture and flavor (I cook it in chicken stock). The best thing about this rice is that it is ready to cook, no rinsing required. With other rice blends it takes so long to rinse that sometimes it's not even worth the effort for little reward. This rice has it all...flavor, texture and no rinsing. A lazy cooks dream. ## Features - ENRICH YOUR KITCHEN with RiceSelect Signature Whole Grain Royal Blend Rice to enliven your favorite rice-based recipe with unforgettable flavors. How long would they store?** A: I buy 4 at a time and keep them in my kitchen pantry. It can be over a year by the time I finish all 4 and they maintain good flavor. **Q: This is my very favorite rice blend. is it being discontinued? please say no! i'm speaking of the texmati brown & wild rice with soft wheat & rye** A: Try contacting the company. **Q: Is this the rare texas wild rice (zizania texans) or a hybrid of it?** A: I have used a lot of this, the label just says wild rice. It appears to be the same wild rice I can buy in bulk, like Minnesota wild rice. I don't know what you refer to, what it looks like to be able to tell. I do know I love the flavor of this blend and it is very healthy compared to regular rice :) **Q: We have this at the grocery store so I can try it before I get a case. Is it chewy like most brown? I don't like that.** A: I don't like brown rice but I like this, I guess it's a personal thing and I love wild rice. I like the texture of this especially how it doesn't seem to get over cooked. It does have bits that are chewier than others - the larger grains make it that way but satisfying not gross to me. Like the other person advised go buy some at the store and try it first if not sure but I bought a case too and didn't think I made a mistake. I would rather have a bit chewier rice than mushy rice any day. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Say goodbye to boring, plain, white rice *by F***T on February 13, 2010* Let me keep it short and to the point. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Blend of Rice! *by A***D on March 22, 2007* This is a great blend for those who do not like just the brown rice by itself. It is also tasty when you cook it with salt and butter. I've also tried adding dried cranberries and peanuts to give it a different flavor...yummy! It is a healthier alternative over the regular white rice. Although it is pricier than regular white rice, buying it from Amazon in bulk reduces the cost per container. I've seen it in the standard markets for over $7 each. My only gripe about cooking brown rice is that it takes longer to cook than regular white rice. However, I do recommend this mix to anyone looking for a healthier way to eat! ## Frequently Bought Together - RiceSelect Whole Grain Royal Blend with Wild Rice, Brown, 28 Oz, 4 Count - RiceSelect Royal Blend, Blend Of Texmati White, Brown, Red, And Wild Rice, Premium Gluten Free Rice, Non-GMO, 21 Ounce Jar - RiceSelect Premium Black Rice, Whole-Grain, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Vegan Rice, BPA-Free 22-Ounce Jar (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/3641776-whole-grain-royal-blend-with-wild-rice-brown-28-oz](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/3641776-whole-grain-royal-blend-with-wild-rice-brown-28-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
