It offers a customizable 0-10 wetness scale calibrated to your ideal moisture level, powered by an included AAA battery for immediate use. Trusted by gardeners, farmers, and composting professionals nationwide, this tool ensures precise moisture monitoring to optimize plant and soil health. ## Description The REOTEMP MM36 Moisture Meter allows you to measure relative moisture deep within a large compost pile. The meter indicates the moisture content of your compost pile or soil sample by means of a sensor at the bottom of the probe. The probe is sensitive only at the tip. Calibrate the instrument by inserting the tip into an ideal sample of compost or soil and adjusting the needle to a “5” on the 0 to 10 scale. Then, the next time you insert your Moisture meter you’ll know relative to your ideal moisture content whether your soil is too dry or too wet. Note that this is not a % moisture content. The meter is sensitive to changing salt content and can be used to track leachate. Used by composters, farmers, municipal composting operations, and nurseries across the country. This product is covered under a 1 year limited warranty. ## Features - Perfect for Large Compost Piles - Rugged Metal Construction with T-handle - Extra Long 36" Stem with Thick 5/16" Diameter - Calibrates to Your Soil or Compost, 0-10 Wetness Scale - Powered by One AAA Battery (Included) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01JK3LTU2 | | Battery Description | Alkaline | | Best Sellers Rank | #66,621 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #28 in Moisture Meters | | Brand Name | REOTEMP | | Color | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (1,385) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00853850002140 | | Item Weight | 1.2 pounds | | Manufacturer | REOTEMP | | Model | MM36 | | Mounting Type | Tabletop | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | MM36 | | UPC | 853850002140 733353560241 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Range | 60 °C | ## Product Details - **Battery Description:** Alkaline - **Brand:** REOTEMP - **Color:** Silver - **Item Weight:** 1.2 pounds - **Mounting Type:** Tabletop ## Images ![36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51n-3FoYO6L.jpg) ![36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41UY2Gyk68L.jpg) ![36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31OP7ohi7wL.jpg) ![36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51MjeAv72RL.jpg) ![36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gZ-gUPK9L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - REOTEMP 36 Inch Garden and Compost Moisture Meter, Garden Tool Ideal for Soil, Plant, Farm and Lawn Moisture Testing - REOTEMP FM-0 Orange Probe Handle for Compost Thermometers - REOTEMP Heavy Duty Compost Thermometer - Fahrenheit and Celsius (36 Inch Stem), Made in The USA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/39046253-36-inch-garden-and-compost-moisture-meter-garden-tool-ideal](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/39046253-36-inch-garden-and-compost-moisture-meter-garden-tool-ideal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
