Review: Good affordable product - Well made toggle switch. Good fit and finish fits well into the application of what you're looking for with good quality components and good range of motion for the switch itself. Great value for the money when comparing to purchasing a switch like this from a big box store. The operation on this is very smooth it moves forward and back with ease. I do wish it had a rubberized cover on the top portion of the switch to not allow moisture into the housing but it still did what I needed it to do. Review: Good switch. High quality - Great switch. Well made. Worked perfect for a fan control switch. Recommend. ## Features - Perfect for industrial equipment or emergency lighting - Specifications: 10 A 277 V AC / 20 A 125 V AC - 75°C max. temperature rating - Terminal Type: 6 inch. wire leads, 18 AWG Wire - Standard nut size, 15/32 - 32 inch. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00004WLKC | | Best Sellers Rank | #29,034 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #37 in Toggle Switches | | Brand | Gardner Bender | | Brand Name | Gardner Bender | | Circuit Type | Single Pole | | Color | Silver | | Compatible Devices | All devices that require a toggle switch of type SPST, 125 V AC, 10 A/125 V AC | | Connector Type | Screw | | Contact Material | Silver | | Contact Type | Normally Open | | Control Type | Manual | | Current Rating | 8 A | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,100 Reviews | | Dielectric Strength | 250 volts | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00032076890186 | | Included Components | Electrical Switch | | Insulation Resistance | 100 megaohms | | International Protection Rating | IP00 | | Item Type Name | Toggle Switch | | Item Weight | 27.22 g | | Manufacturer | GB Electrical | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Maximum Current | 8 A | | Model | GSW-18 | | Mounting Hole Diameter | 0.5 inches | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Positions | 1 | | Operating Voltage | 125 volts | | Operation Mode | ON-NONE-OFF | | Part Number | GSW-18 | | Specification Met | Ul | | Switch Type | Toggle Switch | | Terminal | Spst | | UPC | 300717184308 300717184506 343538072959 032076890186 300717185862 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 75 °C | | Voltage | 250 volts | | Warranty Description | Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Gardner Bender - **Material:** Plastic - **Mounting Type:** Wall Mount - **Terminal:** Spst - **Voltage:** 250 Volts ## Images ![Gardner Bender GSW-18 Heavy-Duty Electrical Toggle Switch, SPST, ON-OFF, 8 A/125 V, 6 inch Wire Terminal,Silver - ⅓ HP/125 V AC, 10 A/125 V AC - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61xb7KK81CL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do you mount the switch? Where is the hole?** A: It's not designed to be mountable, out of the box anyways. It's an internal switch, where you carve/drill a hole in the casing of whatever you're hooking it up to. You unscrew a nut around the switch itself, take off the 'On-Off' plate, slide that into the hole, the slide the plate back on and replace the nut. **Q: Can these be safely used as a on/off switch on a small appliance using household current?** A: Yes, they are rated for house current (120V) at10 Amps (A) which is enough to power most appliances. Check your appliance to see how many amps are used. This should be listed n the motor housing or underside of countertop appliances. **Q: How long are the wire leads?** A: Hello, Thanks for your inquiry. The wire leads are 6" in length. **Q: Can I use this switch as a kill switch tapping into a fuel line 16 gauge wire underneath the back seat** A: Yes, absolutely.... I have one installed directly off of the battery.... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good affordable product *by A***A on June 8, 2026* Well made toggle switch.
