The price this seller is asking is significantly more expensive! You can buy two of these at Walmart for the same price this seller is selling one for! **Q: How many yards per skein?** A: There are 590 yards per skein. Hope this helps. **Q: How thick is the yarn, it does not say in the list?** A: Just bought at walmart. My yarn label says 5 oz/142 g 81 yards size 6 bulky and it cost around 3.50 **Q: how long is each color section before it switches to the next color?** A: That's hard to answer because each color may be slightly longer or shorter then thr next. I can say its not like variegated where the colors change every so many inches, these are long color lengths before they change to a new color. There are approximately 7 colors sets in each cake, so divide that by the total length of 590 yards and it will give you a very rough idea of each color. It is a great quality for cowls, hooded cowls, scarves, hats, gloves and much more. I don't really recommend it for tiny baby items. I just think that those tiny items look better made out of thinner yarns. This yarn is soft and thick. It is 20% wool and 80% acrylic. The yarn is not itchy at all. I mostly use it to make hooded cowls for toddlers and kids. I have had nothing but great reviews on the color, quality, and softness of this yarn.
