Aglis Buddy Tape is the Best Grafting Tape for Grafting and Budding Buddy tape is FAR MORE SUPERIOR TO Parafilm in terms of durability and elasticity and does not breakdown prematurely like Parafilm. Buddy Tape is an innovative tape for budding and grafting devised with a unique formulation and properties to allow easy and rapid application, reduced labor costs, and high success rates in the crop. This unique product was developed in Japan in 1985 and has been used throughout Europe and North America for the last fifteen years. Application and Storage In order to fully utilize the unique characteristics of Buddy Tape, we recommend that it is stretched gradually as it is applied. Although there is a natural tendency to stretch the film to fuller size and then simply wrap around, this can cause the tape to become stringy which can mean that the tape cuts into the growing plant like standard grafting tapes. Storage Please keep Buddy Tape out of direct sunlight within a temperature range of 10-30 (In particular, avoid leaving the tape in a hot car). Lengthy exposure to UV light will begin the breakdown process of the film and could affect its performance. Weather Once the tape has been applied it will be resistant to rainy and windy conditions. However, we recommend avoiding applying Buddy Tape in the rain as water on the surface could affect the initial adhesion of the tape. Also note that in temperatures of lower than 15C the elasticity of the film is reduced. Do not remove Buddy Tape from its' protective case before application as this is necessary for protection from pressure and UV light.

- BREAKDOWN BY UV – Aglis buddy tape will disintegrate by UV rays over time and will not breakdown prematurely where Parafilm M would. Aglis buddy tape is also strong enough to secure scion onto roostock without tie tapes on smaller grafts, saving you time
- ELASTIC - Aglis Buddy Tape can be stretched lengthwise or widthwise up to eight times its original length during application. The tape also expands while the graft union heals, allowing the graft to grow, preventing the graft from girdling or killing the graft to ensure higher success rates for your work
- WATER-PROOF - Aglis Buddy tape contains wax and has the ability to keep the scion or graft dehydration, creating the perfect greenhouse environment for the scion. Air can pass through the permeable tape allowing the bud to breathe. The moisture retention and gas exchange will prolong the life of the scion until the union fully healed, maximizing your "take" percentage
- SELF-ADHESION - Aglis Buddy Tape is self-adhesive when stretched, allowing quick application with no need for tying knots for softwood grafts. Twist the end of the tape into a rope to secure the union

**Q: I just got my roll of 1" buddy tape and 1/2" "zen garden pvc grafting tape". does the 1/2" pvc degrade, needs to be removed after the graft takes?**
A: The pvc tape needs to be removed after the graft takes.

**Q: What is the width of the buddy tape, 1'' guaranteed?**
A: I just measured the buddy tape and it is exactly 1 inch,  I grafted Apricot, plum, and almond trees and it is holding up well.  I also used the tie  that was included.  One apricot is shooting. Weather has been great for grafting.

A: 60 meters

**Q: How long is the shelf life of this tape?**
A: Don't know about that for sure but I think it should last years.  Keep in a cool dry place out of sun light should help. The thing that bugged me was that the tape is perforated every 4 inches making it hard to do a good wrap with out using lots of short pieces.  There was no mention of this when I bought it.
