I got FLASLD Fire Pit Mat to go with our portable fire pit. It did the job!We only use the soy wax fire pit candles and never really worried about it since the fire pit didn't have the sparking problem that you get from using wood. Besides, the candles keep the inside of the fire pit looking nice. However, we live in a rural area that sometimes gets quite a bit of snow, and when that happens there's always a chance of a tree taking out a power line or a transformer going out, so it's possible that some time we would have to use wood in the fire pit and we would use it on the stone fireplace hearth (we're hoping to clear the floor of the fireplace and put the fire pit inside where the wood used to be burnt). We have a grill that goes over the fire pit and is perfect for heating water for coffee or heating up a can of soup. We haven't tried cooking anything else yet.In the warmer months, we plan to use the fire pit on our front deck and that was the predominant reason for getting the fire pit mat-- to protect the flooring.This mat seems to be very well made and worked well when we experimented using it under the fire pit on top of the kitchen table-- and the table didn't heat up under the mat. (We can't experiment outside yet, it's just too cold!) Based on what we tried, I recommend this product. It did what it was supposed to do!

As a regular fireproof mat, this works. And frankly, that's all I really needed something like this for, to protect my deck from the blazing inferno in my fire pit.BUT, there's a gimmick here in that I'm told the silvery Space Mountain finish will reflect heat all over and such. Well, I've not seen any increase in heat from the fire pit, and in fact the top of the mat was rather cool while the fire was going on. So perhaps part of this is the design of the fire pit itself (maybe) or perhaps it's something that sounds like it "should" work but it actually doesn't.Either way, I think one should pin his or her performance expectations on the fireproof qualities of the mat and not so much the reflective...and it does work well in that respect. Frankly, if you can get over the Space Mountain look it's a rather good item. In other words, it does what it's supposed to do in terms of keeping your deck from bursting into flame. And that's good enough for me.

I have a portable firepit, but the ember catch bag underneath the grate is only as wide as the firepit. Since ash and sparks never seem to stay within the vicinity of the fire, I wanted a larger fire mat that could sit under the portable firepit for extra protection. This nifty mat worked perfectly!It is made of a thicker material, yet is lightweight enough that it isn't cumbersome to carry. It is well made and stitched and easy to wipe down. The underside is a grippy material so it stays in place. It also works great for protecting a patio which is another reason why I wanted this item. It would work on a smaller grill as the width of this mat is 36 inches. I am very happy with this mat!

this fire resistant mat is an added peace of mind that our patio wooden flooring will not be damaged by the extreme heat from our fire pit.its 3-ft round shape compliments our round fire pit. we have used it on our backyard grass and helped prevent heat/burnt damage to the spot.the material is silver and suppose to reflect the radiant heat coming down from the firepit, back up. No sure how i can test effectiveness other than knowing my grass is not dead where I laid this on.Happy with this mat’s performance.

I use this on my covered patio to cover the ground where my fire pit goes and it works perfectly. I wanted to make sure if anything fell out of the fire pit the patio would be protected. I’ve used it 4 times and each time no matter how long we burn wood or how big the fire gets there’s no damage done to patio so mission accomplished

Put this under our firepit on our wooden desk. Nothing has caught fire yet!

This looks nice and they claim that it will protect our deck from burn or singe marks if we use it under the Solo Stove. But frankly, I don't trust it. If it does not work it will cost $1500 to redo the finish on the patio and we decided to stick with the thicker, heavier and time tested pad we have been using. This one is thin and folds up into a small square. It just is not worth risking the finish on the patio to find out if it works. It would be more attractive than what we are using but I am not convinced it will do the job. Although I really have not given it a chance.

Tappeto adatto all'utilizzo di barbecue o stufe, il tappeto per braciere è adatto da usare come protezione per il pavimento o giardino, il diametro e di circa 90 centimetri, ed è pratico da usare, per poi ripiegarlo e conservarlo, va bene per evitare di rovinare il pavimento durante le giornate in cui il barbecue acceso può far cadere del carbone ardente sul prato o pavimento cosi e rovinarlo, mentre il tappeto non subisce alcun danno al contatto con materiale incandescente, ho potuto testare con successo questo tappeto in un paio di occasioni cosi voto positivamente.

I’ve no idea why, and whether you should have one particular side facing upwards, so perhaps the sellers could explain it in their details of the item…

Si tratta di un tappeto riflettente con un diametro di circa 91 cm, piuttosto spesso e resistente e dal peso piuttosto consistente; è contornato da una buona cucitura che ne orla la circonferenza.Il tappeto ha il lato che va contro il pavimento composto da un tessuto in leggero rilievo che ne garantisce il grip su piastrelle; l'altra faccia è in grado di riflettere luce e calore offrendo una buona protezione al pavimento. Io lo utilizzo per un braciere che ho su un terrazzino scoperto, e fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.I tizzoni che vi sono finiti sopra non lo hanno minimamente scalfito e le piastrelle in pietra sottostanti sono protette dal calore in maniera efficace.Personalmente non lo uso sull'erba ma, al netto del fatto che la appiattirebbe per il peso, a mio modesto avviso potrebbe proteggerla a dovere.Il rapporto qualità prezzo è buono, si sente solo un po' la mancanza di una custodia dedicata per riporlo dopo l'uso.Lo consiglierei specialmente a chi è in possesso di bracieri bassi, che rischiano di rovinare o sporcare con il calore le pavimentazioni. Va benissimo anche per i barbecue di piccole o medie dimensioni.Buon prodotto.

I shall be using this under my garden table which has an inbuilt fire pit and sites on a small area of patio.The silver colour goes well with our grey furniture and blends in well. The material is thick and should provide very good protection.
