A: I really don't know where you saw the statement "It doesn't require batteries".  I'm thinking you might have misread where it said, "batteries not included".  Basically, they are saying that batteries do not come with the mouse.  Otherwise, I don't have an explanation for why they would say what you said about batteries relating to this product.
