They really were true to their logo -- my friends and I used to light 'em off by striking them on the front fly zipper of our Levis w/out the match head flying off or the wooden stick breaking. They used to be reliably good fire-starters whether indoors or camping; no need to carry around the box they came in in order to have an effective striking surface, no worries about the slightest breeze or puff of air immediately blowing them out, or having the match-stick itself reduced to a size that's so fragile it's more likely to snap in half than ignite.
