I will say that the idea of this was cool! However, if you're looking for a quality brush and you like your hair to lay down or wave up this IS NOT the brush for you.The firm side is like trying to brush your hair with those steel street sweep brushes. The bristles are way too close together allowing the brush to collect dandruff dry skin and hair way too easily. If you have waves you know exactly what i mean. Without any exaggeration this brush could be used to clean grime off of tiles and grout. The soft side is way too soft. it's absolutely useless even for facial hair. I love this product.  Hot Waves Pure Boar Fade Brush Military 2.25" 18 Rows (Pack of 3)  They come in a pack of 3 so you don't need to worry about replacing them. The only bad thing I dislike is that the bristles come off after brushing for a while. The brush is great for waves though! The soft side won't scratch your scalp. I recommend this to anyone who wants waves.

With hair shaved close to the head, the soft side of this works fine - although the bristles fall out pretty easily. The rough side, as reviewed here, would make this better for cleaning bathroom fixtures. Since this is a three pack, that idea works out pretty well. I would get a more durable piece, if they weren't so expensive.

This brush is perfect for when your just starting the wave process. Cut your hair low and start brushing with this and you'll get results much faster. Use the hard side of this brush to wash your hair and use it occasionally when your hair grows longer. It might feel soft and like it's not doing anything but trust me it's working. It will lay your hair down!!! You'll need something harder than this once you start getting waves all around your head to get good 360 waves but these are great for beginners.By the way, don't even think about buying these if you're not trying to get waves or if you already have decent waves.
