Worked perfectly on my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 with the Vortec 5.3L V8. I added a little RTV to the mating surface but only because that tiny o-ring didnt seem like it was all that stought. The OEM one had the same o-ring and no RTV and worked for 120000 miles I only replaced it because I was having to do work on the cooling system anyway.
