(6 months to a year.). So after going through three of them, I decided to go electronic. But I wanted one that is simple to set and use. I found that in this unit. The only hard part was my installation guy learning the different wiring connections from the mechanical one he installed. But that was only a half hour of additonal learning. Anyway, it’s been on and working flawlessly for over six months, and it seems like it’s going to do so for years. So if you want something simple, or something that turns to pool on and off on different days of the week, this unit will do the job. The only thing is the clock is set on military time (1300 is 1:00pm, 1400 is 2:00pm, etc.), and I’ve found no way to change it. And the display isn't very bright. (I used a flashlight.).
