Review: Good quality - Good size, heavy, thick, high quality cutting board - the board oil and wax from the same brand worked very well. It will need biweekly maintenance but worth it for the non-toxic quality.
Review: Small but takes a licking and keeps on ticking - I got this board to replace my old one which I destroyed with a meat cleaver. Sadly I know that will happen to this one too, but that's how it goes when you chop bones. This is a small board so it works great in a small space and it also fits to be washed in the sink. It's 1 inch thick which is the best you can do on something in this range. As far as the craftsmanship, I think it's actually very good. It's nice and smooth. I did see a couple of places where some glue had squeezed out in between pieces of wood but they sanded it down and it looks almost like the grain of the wood. I don't think anybody would notice that and for the money....it's really not a big deal. This board is also level. And finally, it comes pre-oiled; I could tell when I gave it a quick rinse because my hands were a oily from handling it. This is good in my book because the wood shouldn't be bone dry. The first time I used it I did put some very visible marks in it, but that happens when you chop bones. Here's the good part - the board has not cracked. I was worried about that after reading the reviews. I'll update my review if that happens.

I ordered a cutting board June 4, 2025. I enjoyed ii and used it approximately three times per week. One year later it has split at the seams on both ends of the cutting board. Prior to this purchase, I thoroughly researched “best cutting boards “ and felt this would be the best product to purchase. . I reached out to the company. Even though it was outside the warranty date the replaced the cutting board, the company replaced the item with additional care instructions. I can’t say enough good things about Hayvin Prather in customer service. Thank you for standing behind your product.
