I wanted some new candles for our new place and thought I'd give these a try instead of traditional wick candles. I'm in love! First, they look and feel like real candles. When they are on, they flicker like a real candle. No one can tell they are not real when we have them going. They came with a remote so they are easy to turn on and off. I don't think I'll ever go back to traditional candles.

I picked these up for a little ambience, and because they don't spew smoke like real candles do.First, these things eat batteries. I leave them on all the time, so keep that in mind, but each candle goes through two AA batteries in a week or two.Second,the light is nice if you're not too close. From a distance they look sorta like a real candle, but close up it's obvious they are not. Bear that in mind when buying.Third, they have some sort of fake wax outer shell that I could do without. I mean, we all know they're not real, so why pretend? The wax has a strange consistency, and is too hard to mimic real wax.Overall, these are cheap and cheerful. If that works for you and ups your romance game, then I'd say go for it. Yes, they're made in China so know that they won't be something you'll be passing down to your children (assuming the romance goes well!).4/5*

I love the realistic look and the ease of operation of these battery-operated, remote control candles! Like real candles, these provide the same look and cozy ambiance but without the mess and fire hazard of real candles. So, these beautiful, flameless candles were a great purchase, and I highly recommend them to anyone who, like me, loves the look and soft, flickering light that real candles provide.

They're pretty. The color is very rich. The candles are wax, so they look good. I have to say that I don't get much light from the short candle. I imagine it's to do with the limited space for the internal components, but I can hardly tell it's on in a dark room, unless I can see the "flame". Don't know that this problem would keep me from ordering again, though, because, I said before, they are good looking candles.A year later, getting decorated for holidays, I took out the big box store brand batteries and replaced them with major brand batteries. All three of them now glow beautifully and equally. So I added a star and am adding apologies for downgrading these in error. Beautiful Christmas season candles!

We placed these on our fireplace mantel and they look great there. The birch bark effect is realistic and attractive. We know of other people who bought the ivory white version and they can hear a clicking sound from the moving wicks. That isn't the case with the birch bark effect candles. at least the ones that we received. We're also glad we bought these because of the 2 AA batteries configuration. The batteries seem to last longer than other candles we own that have 3 AAA batteries. We are happy we chose these.

I have found these flameless candles to be quite exceptional. I was looking for a lower cost alternative to the more expensive brand found in a high end store. These have worked out quite nicely. I love the fact that they can be controlled remotely. This makes it possible to turn on without rearranging your display every time. I cannot say as to how long the batteries will last at this point, since I have only used them for about 9hrs. There are many of these types of candles to choose from. I chose these based on the use of real wax for the candle, real moving flame action (I don't like the type that has a stationary flame that uses a flickering light cast up onto the flame), size,and last but not least...price point. I would recommend these as a great way to try out this type of candle. I plan on buying these for gifts this Christmas. Overall I am very happy! Oh and one last thing... these are Prime shippable! That's a plus in my mind.

These candles amaze me. In the evening or night, you really can't tell the difference between these and regular burning candles. The fact that I don't have to worry about burning anything, having wax melt all over or hurt my health using these makes them the BEST! I now have about 16 of them all over the house. The timer is awesome and they bring such a nice ambiance to the home. I wish they came in more regular candle colors but for now, I'm happy with red and ivory.I did have one that did not want to light up but after fiddling with it a bit it started to work and haven't had a problem since.

These candles used in glass goblets on my mantel really are beautiful.I tried three different types of flameless candles and these were PERFECT.The color is a rich red and the dancing faux flame makes a wonderful shadow upon the wall behind.Very pleased with the quality.Wish I would have found them sooner.

Like real candle. Safe and clean. Battery can be taken long.
