I'd suggest going on YouTube to determine which of the ports on the radio to connect the cable into. For instance, with the Yaesu FT-65R, I had thought I needed to connect both the SP and MIC ports. Computer recognized the chip and drivers were already installed. Worked great with CPS software for Anytone 878 UVII Plus, Quanshengs, Baofengs and so many other with the wide variety of connector combinations.
