Versatile but...
Really like the size and different diffusions/reflectors in a small package.. The ability to hold and put on a stand is great.Snapping the metal table to fit together is a bit of a challenge and nearly impossible to take apart once it is together. If fact I am leaving it assembled to too much trouble, so loses the compact factor of transporting.

Great diffuser
I’m convinced the majority of people leaving reviews on this 40x40 diffuser have zero clue what they’re talking about. This is a pretty decent quality diffuser easy to put together easy to take apart arm works great and connects seamlessly to a c stand gobo or light stand. I’m extremely happy!

Awesome, but...
This is such a good 4'x4' frame for handholding or mounting. This assembles easily and even comes with a dummy-proof system for putting everything together. The included fabrics are decent, but aren't the strongest so start looking into opals, silks, grids, muslins, etc. now. This falls apart in one major section. The swivel grip is the worst. If you tighten it, good luck getting the screw out. It's poorly made. So if you plan on mounting to a c stand, start looking into different grip and gobo heads to hold it in place. It's such a shame that the manufacturers didn't think this out to make this a 100% functional tool on set. If you get this, know that the grip/mounting point on this will need work or that you'll have to invest in some other tools to get the full use out of this. But beyond that, it works fine.

Gets the job done
So as far as a scrim goes, it does get the job done but considering the build quality...I don't know, maybe just a tad on the expensive side. That being said it's on the cheaper end of scrims I have seen. For whatever reason these things are pretty expensive. It's like if you say your product is to be used with photography or videography, then they charge a premium. I tried to get this thing horizontal while attached to my c-stand and it was just a bit too floppy. Like I said it gets the job done but the build quality is a bot on the flimsy side.It was great how it came all broken down in a fairly small bag but once you get this all put together it is kind of a nightmare to break it back down again. I'll certainly be leaving this all put together and maybe leaning it up against a wall in my studio.I think if this was priced at $50-$60 I would be fairly happy but as it is right now, $74 at the time of this review, I'm not sure I would really recommend.

Decent enough as it is
The cost isn't really justified. The overall build quality of this scrim flag can only be described as "ok."It's just somewhat clumsy to use because of its fragile-ness (if that's a word). It can get the job done but you'll definitely end up wanting something better.Plus, once you have it set up, you won't want to disassemble it because it's such a hassle to do so.I'd look elsewhere, save yourself the time, anger, and energy.

NICE STARTER kit but is lacking in thoughtfulness of design
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice starter kit, build quality of the aluminum tubing is lightweight, but sturdy. Other reviewers have said that it’s impossible to take part, I haven’t had that issue, though you do have to press hard on the little pop buttons to pull the pieces apart. However, like other reviewer‘s, I completely agree that the swivel mount for mounting this to either the included handle or to a light stand, is completely useless. No matter how tight you make the screw on it, there is too much weight pulling down on it for the mount to keep the frame in the position you put it in. this makes the included handle useless, so if you get this, make sure you have a C-stand or heavy duty grip head to be able to attach it to your light stand. It’s nice that they included multiple different kinds of fabric in the kit, but they are lightweight and cheaply made, so they will not take heavy use for very long. Also the fabrics do not have additional ways to attach them to the frame except bungees in the corners and little Velcro strips, so it doesn’t hold up well in windy conditions. It’s a bummer that they made this about 9 inches smaller than a full 4‘ x 4‘ frame, so the industry standard fabrics will not fit on it. If they had it would have completely justify the price as a 4 x 4‘ frame easily runs $100-$200. As it is none of my existing fabrics work on it 😢Another fidly issue is when you’re putting the frame together, you have to line up the proper pieces, and that can take a while. I am going to run bungee cord through the whole frame, so when it’s taken apart it is easy to put it back together quickly and without putting the pieces in the wrong spots.Overall as a back up frame or some thing to start with, this is better than nothing, but definitely does not measure up to professional standards.
