Great value for your money
I'm not sure why there's 2 different listings for this credenza. This one has no reviews, but it's the same as the grand walnut one but in 3 different colors. I bought the raven oak, and it looks great in my living room. I probably got really lucky with my order, because usually something this heavy would show up with some slight damage at the least, but mine showed up without even a scratch.A lot of the reviews you'll find for this credenza on here, Home Depot, and Target, will say that the quality is questionable and that it's hard to build, which made me skeptical, but after putting it together, I'm not really sure what those people are talking about. This credenza is so heavy that it shows up in 2 boxes. It takes a bit of time to assemble, and most of the assembly takes place with it upside-down and then eventually on its side in order to hammer 40 nails into the back of it, so be ready to have to flip it 90 degrees a couple of times.I put the whole thing together by myself on the area rug in my living room so I wouldn't accidentally scratch any of the pieces of the credenza. I made sure to assemble it near where it would eventually be sitting so that I'd be able to just flip it upright into the correct spot when I was finished. It took a couple of hours to assemble, but thankfully I didn't have to waste any of that time taking anything apart and putting it back together again like I usually have to do with furniture like this due to unclear instructions. The instructions are written really well, and all of the parts are labelled really well. The pouches that all of the screws and whatnot come in even have individual tear-points so you don't end up accidentally mixing up any of the different screws.Due to the clarity of the instructions and labelling, this was probably the easiest piece of furniture I've ever had to put together, despite it also being the largest and most heavy. All you'll need in order to put this together are a hammer and a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Thankfully no power tools are required.

Very impressed!
Very impressed! The packaging was protected by foam, cardboard, wood fiber angle boards on the exterior, and plastic wrap. Rest assured it will arrive in perfect condition. The quality of the veneer is impressive for this price point. The depth of this cabinet is very rare to find. It comes with a 5 year warranty. This thing is so much value for your money. Highly recommended! It looks beautiful

Excellent for the price, with a couple recommendations
I'm very happy with this piece. It looks good, just like the photos. The open bays are high enough and long enough for big audio equipment items. This is actually the big feature for me; I have a Sony 300 CD changer that wouldn't fit in any similar entertainment center I found. It's a major engineering project to assemble, but a satisfying one. Each screw has a mating pilot hole so the assembly is precise. The instructions are excellent, and all the pieces and fasteners are clearly labelled so there's no confusion. Assembly is a 5 or 6 hour project, and the finished piece weighs a ton- about 150 lbs.The only reason I give the piece 4 stars instead of five is that the manufacturer neglected to include any kind of floor protection like felt pads or plastic bumpers. As built this would have meant heavy unfinished particle board edges against my walnut floor, and guaranteed scratches. Fortunately I had these on hand! Also I'd recommend omitting assembly of the metal drawer handles. They are unsightly, and make the drawer fronts stand away from the pieces that they mate up to. The manufacturer should do a more attractive finger hold on the bottom of the drawer fronts rather than the ugly handles on top with the rubber bumpers that make the drawers fronts stand away from the front of the credenza.Oh, and one more thing. I received two parts with manufacturing defects and one broken part. Went online and ordered replacements easily at sauder.com, with no proof of purchase required, and it was shipped the next business day. Well done Sauder! Five stars plus for the website and ordering experience!

Looks nice, but poor quality.
Credenza looks alright. Be prepared to spend a couple hours putting it all together. It comes in two separate boxes with no apparent organization of pieces between the two boxes. ie: as you complete steps, theres no telling which box the piece will be in. Secondly, the pieces are sparsely labeled. Several critical pieces had no markings at all. Many of them were just hand written in sharpie on the edges. The entire construction appears to be compressed wood, which was disappointing for the price it cost. Additionally, the construction seems a little insecure, especially for the drawers. (You probably wont be able to put anything heavy in them) Several of the pieces didn't line up correctly. I had no problem with putting the pieces together, but cosmetically be prepared for a couple pieces to not sit flush. My product also came with a couple of damaged pieces (see pictures). Lastly, be prepared to clean up a lot of trash. There was a lot of cardboard and styrofoam included in the packaging.Overall, quality was well below expected, but it's visually nice. Only consider it, if you're really set on the look of it.

Better than expected; great customer service
Really well-designed and manufactured pressed wood stand. I was impressed with how well the pre-drilled holes aligned. I only had one assembly issue: the middle shelf’s holes were not drilled through so I had to take a drill bit to it. I had to request three new pieces (including the entire top shelf) due to damage, and to my amazement all the replacement pieces were sent via 2-day FedEx. For the price I am quite pleased. You may want to pick up a touch-up pen as the pieces aren’t wrapped and rub against one another in transit, but nothing a little touchup pen couldn’t take care of.
