Review: Decent mixer! - I bake several times a week and refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on any appliance, especially when the task can be done by hand. That said, as I get older my hands are becoming weaker so Ive been using mixers more. I choose to replace the more affordable appliances every four or five years after I've gotten my use out of them rather than be stuck with the same model. Through the years I've noticed that ceramic coated mixer attachments tend to chip and scratch (and that grosses me out), and replacements for the off brand models are almost impossible to match up. As I shopped I realized almost every stand mixer comes with these coated attachments but what I really need is stainless steel attachments, which are widely available on hand mixers. This particular one is nice because it has the option to use a stand and includes bread hooks. When I used it for the first time I didn't realize, until I unboxed it, that the bread hooks should not be used in combination with the stand, which is kind of why I bought it but that's OK. It ended up working out great, I don't mind holding the mixer while it kneads the dough and I was actually able to get at the dough more thoroughly than using a stand mixer because I could move the beaters through the dough rather than the dough moving around the beaters which I never gave much thought to but it kneaded way better and my dough proofed twice as fast and big, kneading about 8 minutes, with the hand mixer compared to when I used a stand. Once I saw the results I was super pleased with the purchase. I did not use the bowl provided as its a tad too small (and cheap feeling) for making bread, it also doesn't have a handle which is essential for me to use with the hand mixer for optimal control. I can still use it for smaller things like frosting or a two layer cake, I dont think I'd put more than 3 cups of ingredients into it. Im happy with the mixer and the price, I paid $50 and it seems like a good product for that amount. I'll most likely use it up until the motor burns out, and even then the bowl can still be used for other things. I would estimate I'll get a few years out of it and for me thats perfect.

Just wanted to let everyone know how extremely pleased I am with it. In fact I changed my star rating from 4 to 5. The more I've used it, the more reliable I realize it is. Have had NO problems and it's done everything I've asked of it. I'm in my 70s and always wanted a Kitchen Aide mixer with some of the attachments but could never bring myself to spend that much money. Hand mixing and mashing was getting too hard for me and I didn't want to give up making certain recipes so decided to try this one. I can't imagine being happier with any other mixer. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go take my 1 pt Chocolate Banana Pumpkin Muffins out of the oven. It's sturdy and sits solidly on the counter when in use. I would like to see the slowest speed a wee bit slower but aside from that the 6 speeds are helpful. I made cornbread last night. Although the bowl doesn't automatically spin on it's own, it only took a spin of the wrist to set it in motion. Yes, as mentioned in other reviews, I did use a spatula to clean down the sides a few times while it was mixing. I don't consider that a big deal at all. If you're a casual baker like me who doesn't work with really heavy dough all the time, you might find this is all you need. The mixer head can be removed easily to use as a hand held mixer. The base has a lever so you can have the bowl sitting in one of two positions. One position has the beaters closer to the center of the bowl and the second position has the beaters closer to the side of the bowl. It's not a Kitchen Aide but it's definitely a very nice mixer for the money. It has all the power I need. It's got a nice compact design. It's doesn't take up a lot of room on my small kitchen counter so I can leave it out for quick last minute use. All in all, I consider this a good buy and I think it will hold up.

**Q: Does this one have a slow setting that is actually slow?**
A: this is very slow it does not have a lot of power doesn't even whip , whipping cream .  not for me , gave it to my son and he took it to work in there kitchen , they tried to whip up cream for a co workers birthday cake , didn't have enough power luckily they had a hand mixer also and used that to make it.  not a good mixer , invest in something better.  My son bought me a kitchen aid for Christmas my god what a difference

**Q: How can i order replacenent atattachments? I somehow lost one of each attachment!**
A: I don’t know this was a gift I purchased

**Q: Which paddle attachment is compatible with this mixer?**
A: None that I'm aware of. All this is, is a regular hand mixer with a stand. I returned mine, it was a joke. Even the dough hooks, you're supposed to use them while holding the mixer. You're not supposed to use them while the mixer is on the stand.

**Q: Anywhere I can get replacement beaters? My beaters rusted after years, and i hate to throw the whole thing out.**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good mixer and stand for the price

For the price this is a great mixer. I like that you can detach the mixer from the stand. Only complaint is that the beaters when on the stand sits too high off the bottom of the bowl. Thus, remove the mixer from the stand to mix thoroughly. However, adding the ingredients when the mixer is on the stand is convenient. Mixer works well in low settings! I bake only during the holiday seasons so price is right for the limited use! Didn’t want to spend $300 for an appliance that gets put away during the off-season.
