The A&D UC-502 Precision Bathroom Digital Scale uses precision sensors to instantly delivery accurate results. The UC-502 benefits from the latest SENSE ON technology - providing results from simply stepping on the scale, displayed on an easy to read LCD screen. The SENSE ON technology automatically switches off - saving battery life. This precision, stylish, convenient bathroom scale is accurate to: 0 - 50.0kg +/- 0.4kg 50.1 - 100.0kg +/-0.6kg 150.1 - 180kg +/- 0.7kg

At last, a scale that just reliably weighs you!
Finally, a scale that just repeatably weighs the person standing on it and doesn't attempt smartass tricks like rounding the reading to what it weighed the last time. I have no idea why so many scales try to second guess what you want on the display, but most of the digital scales I've owned (including two Salters) have done this. I don't know how accurate the A&D scale is in absolute terms, but it doesn't matter too much, as what I want is for it to tell me how much my weight changes from day to day. When a scale gives the same reading even after I've picked up an object weighing 400 grams or so, or changes its reading but then sticks with it after I've put the object down again, then I don't trust what it is telling me. The A&D just weighs what it's given. No memory. No rounding up or down. That's all a scale needs to do.

Weight readout fluctuates when you step off and back on
I have to step on and off these scales 3 times before I'm confident the readout is correct. For some reason they give a readout between 1 and 1.5kg heavier when first stepped on; when stepping off and stepping back on a couple of seconds later (once they've reset) the readout is lighter, I then do it a third time just to make sure, and the third readout is always the same as the second readout. Obviously I don't move the scales at all in between, and always use on a hard floor. It's not the end of the world as I'm fairly confident I'm getting an accurate consistent weight using the second and third readouts per use, but it's a bit of a pain having to step on and off repeatedly, and given the option I'd much prefer a set of scales that gave the same weight every time without requiring double checking with each use.

Finally! Accurate consistent scales
If like me, you’ve been putting up with bathroom scales that give a different reading of up to 1.5kgs when you step on them a minute after you just weighed yourself. You’ve trawled through reviews of other scales to see the same problem with all the other makes and models ( unless you spend £80+ ) then stop looking and buy these.Bluetooth connectivity to keep track of progress ( download app first, then pair with phone )They gave the same reading 5 times in a row on different flooring ( wood and mosaic tiles ) and even noticed the difference when I had a pee. Finally I feel like I’m getting a realistic and accurate reading from my scales. The app also calculates your BMI when you share health data from iPhone. This has unfortunately confirmed I’m a fatty and I need to lose at least 10kgs, but I kind of knew that already. Good motivation though.

Tried standing on one leg, it didn’t help.....
Bought to replace ageing rusty scales! These are neat, easy to clean. Easy to change from pounds to kilos. I do find they need standing on twice to get an accurate reading. After the second time they read the same, no matter how many times you curse at them, and call them a liar. Presumably this is because I move them to weigh myself. They always pretty much agree with my GP’s scales, so I’m presuming as accurate as needed.

Would be great to have slightly larger display
Item as described. Sleek design, would complement most bathrooms, although would prefer without the oversized logo. Seems to be accurate. Would be great to have slightly larger display, or backlighting, to improve visibility in lower light and obviate the need for me to wear glasses or squint slightly to see the reading.
