The pack includes a template to cut round. With a jig saw it is very easy to cut out the hole and it fixes against the skin of the door on both side with the screws provided. **Q: I haven't got a back door. Could I fit this through the wall?** A: Yes but you would need a cat mate wall liner/tunnel they vary from 2" to 12" depending on how thick the wall cavity is so you would need to know your product code number and purchase the right part to fit .
