The brushed finish is very easy to care for, and the pedal action is very good; the bin doesn't jump around when you operate the pedal which is a perennial problem with cheaper bins. I bought a pack of Simplehuman bin liners to fit this size - they are a little fiddly to fit as they need tucking in around the top of the inner bin but are almost invisible when installed and the lid is closed. Overall a high quality and well designed pedal bin. I bought a similar but much larger kitchen bin some years ago which is still going strong and looking good. Both are pricier than many alternatives but I think they are worth it for the quality and the pleasure of having something that just works well and will last for years.
