**Q: Hi on a charcoal barbecue, do you just chuck a hand full over the hot coal?**
A: Its best to soak the wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes before putting them on. The idea is to get smoke from them and if you put them on dry they will burn immediately without producing as much smoke. A handful is about the right quantity and yes it should only be used once the coals are properly lit.

**Q: Can you use these on a gas grill?**
A: Yes you can, you will need a smoker box or make a foil pouch.

**Q: Can I use theses to flavour my still spirits**
A: Yes but they won’t taste like brisket just wood not meat or smoke just wooden wood from wooden trees

**Q: Could you use these with a ninja bbq?**
A: You can use Weber wood chips with most barbecues but we would recommend using with the Weber range for the best results. Our wood chips offer a perfect mix of hardwood, and nut and fruit woods allows you to add a strong, spicy flavour to your tenderloin, brisket or hamburgers.

Add nice flavor too the smoker but chips are small and burn up quickly. Chunks are better but these are useful for smaller cooks.
