Review: Fantastic robust compact product. - My daughter has been using this product since it arrived to clear and heal her sinus following an operation. It has only been used so far with a salt solution and tissue salts. It works very well is compact and very portable. It should be remembered all these products must be used with distilled water, as any contition needing a nebuliser will not improve using water containing bacteria. It is hard to find propper distilled water these days as chemists don't mix any more, so the nearest thing is de-ionised water which has had all the metals and minerals removed, but it is still not sterile - so needs to be boiled and stored in a sterilised glass container which shouldn't be kept long as contact with air will also allow bacteria to enter it. It is better to boil small amounts when you need it really not more than two days worth at a time. De -ionised water is available from garages as they sell it for car batteries - and some iron mongers. Chemists should be able to order the real thing, failing that your doctors surgery or local hospital, remember even the real thing is easily contaminated by oxygen so should be boiled if it has been open a while. For comparison with others on Amazon, this nebuliser the liquid (treatment) at 0.3mls per second, whereas many others run at only 0.18 or 0.20 mls per second, or don’t say how fast they can deliver treatment. The fastest declared speed I’ve found on Amazon (sorry, can’t remember which, it’s eother a Beurer or an Omron and costs just over £40) runs at 0.4mls per second. How the speed of this machine, or any other, compares with your hospital machine you’ll n,y know if you can find out the speed of your hospital one. Easy to setup, including using official hospital tubes and nebuliser head. Using for sodium chloride medication for laryngectomy. Works fine and makes a reasonable mist. Is a bit noisier than advertised though. Hospital unit provided near 90Db and like a Massey Ferguson tractor, so wanted something quieter. Check and this is running at about 60-65Db. So a big improvement. It is compact and lightweight.
