## Description

Easily raise and lower your utility or ATV trailer's tailgate. Enclosed two-sided lift-assist assembly virtually eliminates the weight of most trailer tailgates and helps to reduce accidents and injuries. Prevents tailgate warping or premature hinge failure. Adjustable for different tailgate weights and sizes. When properly set, most tailgates will stay in any position and float up and down at the slightest pressure, making loading and unloading hassle-free.

Review: The lift installation can be challenging for novice people who never operated a 1/2" drill and drill bit. The instructions were okay, but I found a video which helped with the installation. I recommend you lay out the side rails in the trailer prior to drilling any holes, as in my case the trailer's vertical braces interfered with two bolt holes, making it difficult to install the bolts and tighten them. Once the installation was complete, the lift performed well, no straining to lift the tailgate and letting it down was easier. I wish I had installed the Gorilla Lift years ago. I highly recommend this product.

**Q: What color are the tubes/barrells? Customer pics show both black and yellow?**
A: They are Yellow, I painted mine black to match the trailer. Looks better than Yellow to me.

**Q: will i need to buy bolts or will it come with bolts for my pipe rail trailer. if i need bolts what size do i need. my pipe is 2 3/8**
A: The carriage bolts supplied are 2-1/2” long which is not sufficient for 2” pipe top trailers (2” pipe=2-3/8” OD. Not sure why gorilla lift hasnt addressed this as a vast majority of trailers are 2” pipe top trailers.

**Q: Can you still attach tool rail to side bars ?**
A: You can’t mount anything on or thru the yellow lift bars that sit on top of the rails. If your trailer is long enough you could mount them in front of the yellow lift bars.

**Q: What is the max length of travel for the cables?**
A: There is a 4 feet traveling distance.

I have a large dual axle trailer. The gate weighs 100lbs+. It has always been a bit of a pain to open/close. After a severe back injury I insulated these. Instalation was straight forward and went well. I also purchased the handle. These work great. A real game changer. I can open and close the gate with no effort and all. Thanks to the handle I dont even have to bend over. Customer support is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
