It's very effective, much better than the original tackiness in fact. It guess on a light blue colour so you can see it on your mate, and dries clear. You can still put your protective sheet on the top to store your mat and keep it clean. **Q: How can I store jumbo glue stick without the applicator top getting hard?** A: It normally won't get hard or dried up. Please kindly make sure that the cap is correctly closed. If cap has some excess glue, it may reduce the airtightness. **Q: If you want a permanent bond, how long does it take to dry once you have put the two pieces of paper together. Thanks** A: I didn’t purchase the zig 2-way glue pen for use with paper but instead I needed it to re-sticky the scanning mat in my cutting machine.
