Ugly Snuglies - Bizarre Bear

Honestly, they are true to the name. These are ugly! But my kids love them. It is a creative take on a stuffed animal. This particular one has lots of little pockets for my pack-rat of a son to hide crap he doesn't need but wishes to hide. At this age, that does not worry me (6). My daughter has one with a radio. As much as I wish I knew that before she got it -- what is that crap that it is playing! -- she does like it.

Though this teddy bear is incredibly cute its not very well made. I love the idea behind creating ugly but cute stuffed animals but I wish some more time was put into the quality.The hair which is made of string is constantly falling out. This bear sheds a lot.Also, the zipper pocket in the back of the bear is surrounded by hairs. This makes it near impossible to zip back up because the hairs get caught in the track.

The long arms are nice for younger children it's easy to grab and hold in a hug. I like that we can store binkies and other toys inside of him. I'm all for stuffed animals that pull their own weight around the house. Ha! but on a practical end, it's nice to not have all the binkies and toys loose so they stay sanitary while my kid is teething. I put it at a 4 because the fur around the zippers does catch so you'd want to trim those down a bit.

I first brought this out for my 18mo old daughter and her two friends and they loved playing with it. It's incredibly soft and a good size for her. After her play-date, my daughter kept dragging Bizarre Bear all around and snuggling up to him. As mentioned in other reviews, the zippers are a little hard to close because the hair is too long, but can be fixed by trimming around it. She's a little too young to really understand how to use zippers right now anyway, but I'm sure she'll love it even more when she's older. The biggest issue I have is that the fur sheds. I've found little patches around the house already. Overall though, it's a great, super soft bear, and my daughter loves him! I'd rate it a 4.5.

I've collected just about all of the Uglies for my granddaughter over the last 2-3 years. She loves them! Even at 10 years old, she asked for them again this year for Christmas.

I didn't know it had secret pocket compartments when I ordered this. It will be so fun for kids! The material of the bear is pretty soft and it is larger than I expected. The face, while not a textbook teddy bear, is still pretty cute! I think my little boy will love it for Christmas!

I wasn't expecting it t be so big. Very cute, lots of secret pouches. Fun for kids. Love it!

My daughter loves cuddling or using as pillow
