Attach the romex to the J-box provided (you will need to get a romex connector for each unit). Set the color temperature, plug the fixture cord into the J-box cord, and stick the whole thing into the ceiling. It doesn’t matter if your ceiling hole straddles a joist, because the fixture is no thicker than the ½" drywall ceiling. It’s really a remarkable piece of engineering. (2) Flexible. You have a choice of five color temperature settings from very warm (2700 degrees) to cold (5000 degrees). I know that seems backwards; just trust me.
