Gregory better quality control.
Gregory is lauded for its quality by several avid hikers that reviews gear online. I liked that it has a 3L water bladder. The Salvo HD 8 was perfect for what I needed. The reason for 2 stars: Pack is constructed lopsidedly. The shoulder strap that attaches to the main body of the bag looks and feels off! The stitching is shadey on a few seams. I bought three of these bags, and kept the one that felt ‘balanced.’ The biggest turn off is that the bottom of the bag scuffs and frays so easily. If this is promised to be durable, why does it easily fray at the bottom of the bag? If it gets a hole after another hike, I may have to contact (recently experienced) Gregory’s ‘below average customer service’ for warranty stuff. Buy at your own risk.
