Was the easiest thing to use. The right size for an internal laptop HDD, decent cable with a sturdy connection that doesn't fall out, and will last as long as is needed. Wouldn't recommend dropping it or heavy use with a single drive though - after all, it's a temp enclosure, not a permanent portable case. And it's much better than the big 'stand upright' things from times long ago, where the drive was left exposed whilst it was being used. Allowed me to rescue everything from my 1TB drive after Windows failed, so I can at least do a clean install. Quite a relief. I have a spare (plenty of life left in it) 1/2 Tb SSD sat around doing nothing and thus I have converted it to a 'travel' drive using this really simple but highly effective caddy. It really is simple to use - simply slide the top off the caddy, slide the drive in, and replace the top of the drive. It takes seconds with no screwdrivers or fiddly catches.
