I was previously using a USB desk top fan positioned behind my AV equipment to blow air across the top of my pioneer SCLX901 atmos receiver. It was fine for a while. They are quite loud when on full blast, but that was with me setting it manually to full, in auto they are normally only on a quarter. This product will hopefully prolong the life of my receiver so well worth the money! You will also want vent holes in the bottom so it can draw cool air in.
